What Does the Bible Say About . . . .

THE CREATION OF THE WORLD

INTRODUCTION

Creation! A mystery that is difficult for humans to understand. By the word of His mouth, God created all that we see. The sun, moon and stars, the animals and plants. Many hold the Creation account of Genesis to be a fable. Yet, as the open minded individual studies the wonders of nature, the unfolding of a flower, the pink glow of a newborn's hand, the planets in their precise order, one can not help, but have a greater appreciation of who God is and the miracles that He can perform.

Many see the Genesis account of Creation as the sole Biblical evidence of Creation. Yet, there are many other places in the Bible where the Creation of the world is referred to by God as well as His people. God truly is Lord and Creator.

Others suppose that Creation is a fable, like many of the other stories of Genesis.  However, since many of these have been proven correct as archeological evidence is unearthed (see the Surprising Discoveries section of this site), then the truthfulness of those leads one to conclude that the Bible is also truthful about a literal seven day creation.

Our computerized search of the Bible looked for the words listed below that are commonly associated with the subject of Creation. It is our hope that these texts will give you a better understanding of God, and therefore, yourself.

A rather lengthy commentary section discussing various aspects of Creation, the Flood, the Fall of Man is also available.

Compilation (Frames) - Compilation (No Frames) - Commentary

Select the Frames option if your browser supports them or if you're not sure.  The Frames view has a scroll bar with hyperlinks that will permit you to jump around the compilation based upon many selected subjects.   The No Frames version shows only the compilation.  If a Frames page doesn't display correctly, use the back arrow of your browser and then try the No Frames version.

Full Compilation:  Approx 170k.  The compilation will show in your browser almost immediately, but due to its length, it may take around 200 seconds at a 14.4k connection to download in its entirety before you can print it out.  If available, you may also download it in an Adobe Acrobat PDF file.   If you know what you are looking for in the compilation, use your browser's Find (Ctrl-f)) feature to search for a particular word or character string.
